There wasn't much of a plan to bring them down from Kamala, it was more about staying the course, not kicking out cheap labor, and not getting deep into trade war. There's more to raising prices than that: stocks need to become more valuable so prices need to come up. That's our 401k dependent system. Price increases had no reason to correct after covid, no need to hurt profit. Trump didn't explain any of that, he promised he could just not be Biden and things would work out somehow.
