I finished A Night in the Lonesome October. Lots of fun and lots of references to uncover, as expected of Zelazny, although it made me realise that reading one chapter a day is really not for me. I really enjoyed Snuff as our POV, especially when he tried to pretend he was a dumb dog or discovered incredible human tricks like opening doors (like a dumb dog). The Great Detective was an unexpected favourite as well, seeing how I never cared about Holmes.
I enjoyed the chapter about Snuff's kidnapping and the one featuring Kadath the best. Great way of combining dark comedy with genuine tense moments and a dash of the surreal. The ending felt a bit abrupt, but it was worth it for the dumb pun.
