The regular Saturday lobbies tend to be steamworks lobbies (no invite needed, the lobby will be visible when you press the button). IP lobbies are allowed and are even rumored to be less laggy/more stable than steamworks lobbies, plus they support codemods if you want to use a custom HUD, only downside being random new players won't waltz into the lobby randomly like they can with steam lobbies. The game has UPNP so hosting an IP lobby is just as easy as hosting a steam lobby, no portforwarding required. If you'd like, you can cajole our regular host into switching to an IP lobby if you're a piratefriend or just offer to host yourself. We do have a steam group if you want notifications for when the Saturday lobby goes up.
