If you aren't Orthodox then you aren't my fellow Christian but one who is yet to find the fullness of the faith, and so my words are directed to you as well. Maybe you should read them and understand what it means to be a Christian. Abp Averky meant that pacifism and passivity are not compatible with love. You can't love someone and stand by to let them be victimized at the same time. Christians are the light of the world, the salt of the earth, and impact the world through the example of their deeds. Just as the Apostles did, they weren't moral stories, the Apostles were Christians out in the world doing Christian things in society, including in politics.
