I had twenty dollars worth of fun with this game.

That makes it a good game.
This is a great example of what

Devs took all their ideas and set themselves to implement all of them without consideration of wether they were actually worth implementing; leading to a product full of bloat and annoying sections whose purpose is only extending the playtime to artificially give the game a higher price for "more value. Instead of trimming down and selecting the few good ideas they have and focusing on making a quality product.

The issue with having a team of 2-3 people is that it's very easy to yesman each other into every idea, with no proper filter and testing to question wether said ideas were actually worth the time both their's when developing, and the player's when indulging.
