no, a mech can only go up by 15 heat from weapons fire per round, so it would take multiple rounds of fire while the mech was also making enough heat that it wasn't dissipating any.

also a single inferno SRM does 2 heat

so the hunchback would've bliped up like, 4 heat, taken a movement and shooting penalty for one round, and then would've killed all the infantry without taking any actual damage.
