I've been to Cancun, Puerto Penasco and Cabo. Mexico City at some point in the future. Europe is expensive during December and I'd rather save it for after Aus next summer.

Really? When I looked at rates in December most decent three star Hilton and IHG properties were less than $120USD a night. Compare this to any American cbd and you'd easily be paying $300+ even during off season.

I guess my question is, if I want to see Canada, and Toronto and Vancouver are eh, what should I do instead? I don't speak enough French for Quebec. Canadians on /trv/ always seem to be very nihilistic but I don't believe that there's NOTHING to do in your country.
