Murky's quest was fun to read but it only works out because of circumstance. That's why Protege needed more screen time and a better ending.

Although it's the only fic which does its villains right by depicting them as unrepentant bastards who you want to see lose. So many other stories make their villains sympathetic or attractive or tragic and then I feel conflicted when the main character starts winning
