I'm really trying to give the Xenoblade games a chance, but there is WAY too much cutscene shit in them, and I wish the characters would just shut up. They never stop talking. Worse yet, this bleeds into so many other games. Pokemon characters never shut up, Zelda characters never shut, it even made Metroid Dread a pain to play through.

Half the time it feels like playing through a snoy game. and you never have the option to permanently silence the characters. Like if TOTK and BOTW gave you the option to kill Zelda so she would stop talking, that would be really nice. It makes me pine for multiplats like Terraria and Silksong, which just have far better pacing. I'm not expected to care about useless NPCs, and in the former case I even get to kill them all. Wish Nintendo games adopted this philosophy.
