I was doing shiny hunts in ZA until yesterday, started playing Hyrule Warriors.
Having it actually run at 60 fps makes it much more enjoyable to play than Age of Calamity.

Will eventually get both Kirby and Metroid. Hoping the Xenoblades get patches at some point as well.

Nothing, I'm a PC gamer overwhelmingly. I only have a Switch 2 for exclusives.
Mario Kart is boring and I don't care to 100% Bananza, even though I like the game. I tend to only complete games that I absolutely love.

Air Riders, Metroid Prime 4, Tomodachi Life. Most immediately, Air Riders of course. That game looks awesome and me and my friend will probably dump hundreds of hours into couch co-op for it, just like we've done for Ultimate.

Xenoblade of course, more specifically Xenoblade 2 is the most important. I tried doing 60fps emulation and 2k res to replay the full trilogy as I found the vaseline and 30fps experience of playing on Switch to be the worst part of otherwise great games, XB1 and XB3 I could do, but Xenoblade 2 is so unstable even at 720p at higher framerates that I couldn't. Something about that game just doesn't really work.

Playing Cyberpunk 2077, performance can be pretty "cinematic" at times but its otherwise very impressive. Definitely the DOOM 2017 of the Switch 2. I like it so far, and I like it a lot more since unlocking the double jump and air dash, I love climbing on buildings.

Persona 5 desperately needs a Switch 2 edition. Three Houses too.

I'm really trying to give the Xenoblade games a chance, but there is WAY too much cutscene shit in them, and I wish the characters would just shut up. They never stop talking. Worse yet, this bleeds into so many other games. Pokemon characters never shut up, Zelda characters never shut, it even made Metroid Dread a pain to play through.

Half the time it feels like playing through a snoy game. and you never have the option to permanently silence the characters. Like if TOTK and BOTW gave you the option to kill Zelda so she would stop talking, that would be really nice. It makes me pine for multiplats like Terraria and Silksong, which just have far better pacing. I'm not expected to care about useless NPCs, and in the former case I even get to kill them all. Wish Nintendo games adopted this philosophy.

I'm getting my money's worth from it, but it's a mixed bag. The open world in MKW is kind of lame, but Knockout Tour is a ton of fun. DKB is pretty unique even if it overstays its welcome. Smoothing out the performance in some older games is great, but I wish more games got patches. Just have to be patient. The overall build quality is great, especially attaching the joycons. The screen is the exception. It's not great. Still really convenient to just throw it in my bag when I take business trips or visit my parents. Overall, I do believe Nintendo will continue to provide at least a few exclusives per year and various indie that perform fine so I'm not worried about droughts.

Did the lessons in the Kirby Air Riders beta. Otherwise at the end game for Pokemon Legends Z-A (done the 'dex, at 111/119 quests done. All I have to do now is finish a living dex, and then catch enough random shit to finish Mable's missions to get a shiny charm. After that I'll probably chill on the game until the DLC is out.

Metroid Prime 4 for sure, Kirby too, but also Fire Emblem. I only recently got into FE, so this will be my first one where I'm actively excited for it before release. Pokemon DLC looks like it could be good too, I always get a lot of time out of the new modes in the DLCs.

Honestly nothing jumping out at me. I want them to fill some of the glaring holes in the classics though. How do we have basically every Rareware N64 game but not Diddy Kong Racing? Still no Smash Bros? I understand no Melee yet but not even 64. And obviously the dream would be the Pokemon RPGs on Game Boy/Advance (ideally with some sort of Home connection) but I don't see that happening.

I'm completely serious when I say that if they filled those holes in this might be my favourite console of all time. Portable Gamecube games has already been amazing, completed a playthrough of Wind Waker in the month the console came out, and have also since unlocked the AX cup in F-Zero GX too. Currently going through Luigi's Mansion and it's been fun. And I bet my time in the Gamecube stuff will double when they add the Pokemon games too.

By the time Metroid Prime 4 comes out we'll have had Mario Kart, Bananza, Age of Imprisonment, Pokemon ZA, and Kirby Air Riders. By this point in the Switch 1's life cycle we had BotW, MK8D, ARMS, and Splatoon 2. And no backwards compatibility meant there wasn't much to play in between.

Is Final Fantasy IV any good? The DS version was the first FF game I actually played but never beat it. From the visuals to the battery, the Switch 2 is the greatness of the original Switch times ten. That said, if you're on the fence about getting a new console, my rule is to find three to five must-have games. If they exist, then a new console is worth it.

Looks like Kirby Air Raiders is that one Nintendo game which absolutely does not click with me, despite completing the tutorial and did a few things with the Global Test. Trying to beat Chibi-Robo for the first time. Fairly far into the game (I think?) but it all just moves so slow, it can take awhile just to get where you think you need to go and be totally wrong. I'm kind of forcing myself to finish it at this point, and only because so many people bring it up as a 'cult classic'. It's just alright.

Air Riders global test has been fun, I'm not chomping at the bit but the game is plenty fun. I'd rather play with friends (local) than a gaggle of randos. I know the full game has more but the overall track count still feels low. It's all just to tide me over until Prime 4 anyway.

There was a major issue where the joy-con wouldn't attach to the console due to the added bulk of the plate. According the Dbrand, the issue has been fixed, but I haven't heard any revised review of the plate. I would wait for a while for word of mouth to confirm if the issue was solved.

If you like Pokemon I think the game's pretty good. The city exploration feels like a puzzle with the ways you have to move to get to certain buildings, and the real-time-ish combat feels pretty different from the usual.
Visuals are mixed. Character and Pokemon models and animations are really well done, but the actual city's kinda underwhelming due to how much copy paste they did with shit like windows.

I like it a lot and I think it's a good experiment for the series. It completely drops turn based combat in favour of real time with cooldowns, and that makes things like the 1v1v1v1 online multiplayer free for alls completely different to what the series has done before. In terms of selling the idea of you existing in a world with your Pokemon naturally inhabiting it, it's awesome. Bird Pokemon sit on the lampposts and you can throw balls at them to catch them there, you'll see a thousand Magikarp as you run past the canals, one eventually will be shiny so it's neat to check them every time you go by. Stuff like that. It's novel.

It absolutely suffers from being a cross-gen game though as the city geometry is very flat, which doesn't help what is an already samey looking city, which is a shame considering the above. It's actually quite densely designed, but just not nice to look at and very not dense in detail, sadly.

If you like Pokemon generally and want to try something where they experiment more, it's cool.

As someone who usually gets 100s of hours out of these games, I'm mostly happy with it. Looking forward to the DLC. Currently at 70 hours played in the base game.

Short answer: Not every Pokemon in every game, but if a Pokemon is in a new games Pokedex, you can transfer from older games to the newer game, and in some cases, even send them backwards.

Long answer: All Pokemon, with the exception of some extreme fringe cases, can be transferred to Home. Home is a subscription service that allows you to store your Pokemon (though I think you can get 30 spaces for free, subscription just gives you access to thousands of space for convenience).

Each Pokemon game since Sword and Shield has its own Pokedex, and only what is in that dex can be caught and transferred in and out of that game. This means some Pokemon are in some games and not others.

From Home a Pokemon can be transferred to any game they are compatible with, but which games will depend on their source game. Any Pokemon from Sword/Shield, BrilliantDiamond/ShiningPearl, Legends: Arceus and Scarlet and Violet can freely travel between those games so long as they are in that games Pokedex.

Pokemon from those games can travel to Legends Z-A when that's made compatible as well, but doing so will make them no longer able to be transferred to the older games. Similar Legends Z-A caught mons can't go back to the other games. However any Z-A mons (either old mons moved to Z-A, or new mons caught in Z-A) will be compatible with future games - again only if they are in that games pokedex.
