You're right they're not difficult at all. But between this, the other 100 open tickets, and my real dev job, I don't have much time. So I prioritize tickets which I hope will attract and retain more users (e.g. the visitors tab) rather than the easy stuff which only a few people have asked for.
If you want to take on some beginner tickets like this and/or become an active contributor, that'd be much appreciated. Right now it's just me, and the backlog is growing

Even if you were matched with a totally random person from the general public, I'd still expect a not-awful conversation in a lot of cases. Sounds like you're experiencing 4channers being 4channers
