They are SUPPOSED to represent win rate, or at least a rough estimate of it. Except apparently they mostly take just your last matches into account, so you could theoretically lose like 100 games in a row, but if you then win 10 in a row, your square color "improves"
Also, beating people with "better" squares counts for more or something, idk
Like that other Anon said the order goes Green - Yellow - Orange - Pink
The makers of the game fucked up big time because there is a Blue square, which you would think would be the best one in GranBLUE Fantasy Versus, but Blue is the lowest of the low.
