I've been playing a variation of these rules for kitchen table with my wife, and it's the best time I've had with the game in years. I want to adapt it for a larger coverage of sets and years, but balance is hard to come by with any massive card pool.
How would you adapt this ruleset to a more modern-esque card pool? Would leaving it with the same card pool and B&R list as modern work? Would a pioneer-like card pool work?
What about a "mini standard" where card pool consists of only the most recent years worth if sets, and the oldest set rotates out on it's yearly anniversary?
