Sounds to me like you get what you pay for. I haven't had a problem with my insurance, personally. Yeah, it sucks that insurance is expensive, yes the system enables them to charge so much, I wasjust saying the disparity between the US and Europe isn't nearly as people make it out to be. Europeans just seem to be given less of an option when it comes to paying for insurance

Yeah exactly my thoughts. A lot of people here choose to go without insurance or get bad insurance and then act surprised when they end up with a massive emergency medical bill. If you pay from your employer the insurance even comes out from your pre-tax income so it ends up being a little cheaper. However, I don't think people really think about it much they would just rather save the expense and not have it at all
