another one of my favorite photos from the Uprising. many people forget these were majority young Poles, 16-18 years old, who were tired of being abused and wanted to fight until the end. but in the photos you see, they are always in such good spirits despite the fact it was kind of known it was a hopeless operation. this picture was taken of a wedding between a young Polish nurse and a Polish insurgent.
