The biggest downside of AMC is character-restricted missions. I keep replaying the ones, which allow you to choose a playable character freely, while avoiding those that don’t and they constitute like 90% of all levels. I think such a restriction not only kills replayability, but also variety and the whole “bring the most suitable character and gear” thing. And for a good portion of them there are no good reasons to be character-restricted anyway, they feature no story related things, don’t exploit character specific mechanics or do something else that would’ve justified that limitation.
