I had the worst theory the idea that the reason the main characters in The Bad Guys are the ONLY animal people in the entire world is because they're actually human but see themselves as or project that identity to others. IE The Big Bad wolf personifies the idea of a wolf so heavily that people just see him as such.

This would explain why no one notices them when they are together, why they rarely have tails and why they are so good at blending in when need be.

It's fucking boring and I hate that I even considered it a possibility. I felt the same way when I heard Star Vs. was meant to be about a girl imagining the monsters she fought. Just boring.
