They shouldn't have given Yixuan a special element and tag. By doing that they're signifying that they can break the rule anytime by introducing "Void Hunter equivalent" characters that can boost their sales anytime they want to. It's like how Chinese MOBAs would introduce Legend tier skins, then Special skins, Ultimate skins, Blessed skins, all to obfuscate the true worth of what they're selling. It's sneaky and very chinkish.

I can prove the story is rewritten by the fact in 2.0 trailer the siblings arrived together to Failume Heights by train. Yixuan, Jufufu, and Pan showed them around before Yixuan started explaining the underlying threat within the seemingly peaceful town.
But in 2.0 story your MC took a plane with Yixuan instead. The plane got shot down and not long after you get to try Yixuan in combat.
The major difference is they get to showcase Yixuan early by making you try her in combat and focusing on her (and only her) instead of Yunkui Summit as a whole.
Hence it's safe to say that the rewrite heavily favored Yixuan by showcasing her solo.

So even with "magic" there used to be a plausible deniability that they were still assisted with tools. But lately there's a large shift to magic and they don't bother explaining the powers anymore.
