I am mixed on 2.2's story. I actually liked the scenario, but the start was rough, Soldier 11 is inexistant, and so is Trigger in the later parts, and Orphie's lore dump came out of nowhere. But I still liked this chapter, namely for Orphie and Magus, and for letting proxy be a bad boy for once and going against the agents' orders for once.

Tldr: I liked it, but it basically being Orphie's agent story hurted Obol squad's in general and it has presentation issue.

I'd agree if S11 and Trigger didn't already have their times in the spotlight+ Seed has her little side story this chapter so they're covered. Yeah that lore dump was kinda pushed but ultimately it and the chapter did it's job of making me like Orphie and Magus, especially the former since I was one of the people disappointed by the so called "personality change" from that initial trailer. Sure it should have been the Obol Squad show but having it be Orphie and Magus's story was fine enough. That final boss of the chapter honestly made it worth it to me too. Probably my biggest complaint was Isolde's twist could be seen a mile away especially after she just started cackling while talking to Magus.

You're welcome to enjoy her all you want because it's entertainment media, but don't sit there and tell me she's well-written and interesting beyond some surface-level character traits, because the average level of storytelling in Hoyo games has never been much to write home about to begin with. They get a few good moments from time to time - I might even be willing to call Seed's agent story one of them, but it doesn't improve my opinion of her at all so much as it doubles down on Big Seed being the only captivating part to her entire character.

I dont fucking get it man. The story isnt about her at all, she still doesnt show up when walking around the military camps often but for some reason SEED Sr is just chilling, she acts like a glorified support in cutscenes while everyone else does everything.

She had to of been a support unit for the squad at some point but it got scrapped. Instead they randomly slapped on "support buffs" onto her and Orphie but kept them Attack units. Its like they finished SEED Sr, were halfway through SEED Jr, didnt know what the fuck to do with SEED Jr, and said "EHH FUCK IT. Lets just roll them into one and spread out her support around the new members."
