As others have pointed out, the second season is a mess and drags the show as a whole down. Quiet Zero makes no fucking sense. Why does Guel get so much screentime when he's not one of the two main characters? Why did they hype up the Schwarzette only for it to appear in less than a full episode? Why does Suletta have no agency and basically no character growth? Why did Nika get basically a slap on the wrist for committing serious fucking crimes? Fuck, why do Nika, El5n, and Norea spend basically the entire second season trapped in a storage room with no interaction with the rest of the cast?

It was an absolute trainwreck of an ending, worthy of Okouchi's previous trainwrecks. I suppose I shouldn't have expected better from the guy who wrote Code Geass R2.
