This...was interesting, to say the least. When I was younger, I didn't react much because I didn't fully understand it, even though I knew the movie was something different, and knew the tragedies of that time. I finally rewatched it, and still wasn't reacting much...BECAUSE I understood it. I have a feeling this thread's gonna derail, as many biopic threads do, but this really is a heartbreaking, but powerful and necessary work of art, especially knowing everything did indeed happen. This is nowhere near my favorites, but I appreciate it far more than most of them.

...Also Neeson and Fiennes were STELLAR as Schindler and Goeth.

Some Gulf State or Saudi Arab could crowdfund a 1:1 shot remake of Schindler's list, but about a Jewish Schindler saving Gazan Palestinians from starvation.

It would cost probably $30 million dollars. Reuse the music, mimic every same shot exactly the same as it was but change the location to Gaza, use cheap MENA actors. It really wouldn't be hard.

Then take the same film on the faggot arthouse film tour and it would get standing ovations. It'd earn the SEA crying monkey Bakla award, it'd earn all the praise in the euro arthouse circuit.

It's so fucking easy to do and an opportunity just in the open for any mediocre filmmaker to seize up.
