Modern jews don’t have a temple and haven’t for 2000 years, thus not in a covenant with God. They lost their temple just as Jesus prophesied, and haven’t had a levitical priesthood either.
This happened exactly as Jesus said, because the blessings to Abraham are accessible to ALL who truly embrace Christ and seek God.

The Roman Empire would become Christian and Rome is still the Vatican today.

embracing Christ is key. He said the Kingdom of God would be taken away from them and their temple would be left desolate, so it can be reasonably assumed that this is true of anyone who abandons God.
