Zoomies not having a relationship to alcohol is such a strange thing for me. I grew up in a family where alcohol was a natural part of the ebb and flow of life and eating. We'd always have wine with dinner, for example, red wine with red meat and white wine with white meat or fish. It was always understood that it was just a part of life, and that it was to be used but not abused.
I find a lot of Americans' relationship to alcohol to be very strange, both the people who are totallly abstinent as well as the binge drinkers and the people who are constantly swilling alcohol but mixing it with soda or juice. Neither of them seems very healthy, according to my own experiences.
