As anon said, we've got more stuff coming this Edition so don't commit to 2,000 points of stuff now when we may be getting Arch Knights and Cog Forts when you're less than halfway through painting.

Buy a Spearhead or army box(there are four good choices for CoS still available right now), work on that, when you get close to done buy another and work on that. That way you won't get overwhelmed and you won't be caught neck deep in Steelhelms when the whole meta changes in a few months
