I don't know what it is about Madhouse anime but their fluid animation of characters drawn with such coarse thick lines looks like they're rotoing over footage of real people even when it wouldn't make sense for them to do so
in this series it's particularly confusing because of the scenes that they were clearly supposed to roto over but forgot
