Get a shitty backpack, some clothes, and a green/earth bivy. Then stealth camp and go to churches for food. Works for the homeless.

You can get from place to place by walking or hitching rides on trains.

Or much more difficultly, you can go into the national forests and stealth camp here and there. Food is much harder to find if not impossible. Water is probably easier than being homeless since you don't have to worry about viral contamination as much. And there are animals that will try to eat you so bring a pistol.

Would be easy out west but would also have to contend with much more dangerous fauna.
