I miss /adv from a few years ago. Obviously this is 4chan, and there were always plenty of trolls and edgelord teens. But even as recently as two or three years ago, a significant percentage of the threads on here were from people genuinely asking for advice; and at least a few of the replies were from people making actually helpful, well-thought-out suggestions.

Nowadays at least 90% of threads here are blatantly either larps or outright trolling. It seems as if /adv has become nothing more than an extension of /b (works of fiction), /r9k (misogynistic incel rants) and /pol (aggressive racism). And okay, 4chan is the place for those things; but there are other forums that are better suited; they don't have to be here as well.

Is there anything we can do to give /adv a reason to exist again? In particular, is there anything we can do to get the jannies to start pruning blatant larping and trolling a bit more aggressively?
