SAO "hate" came at a time when /a/ was overrun with newfags who didn't understand our board culture and thought that /a/ was about "elitism." They're the same reddit newfags who used to flood Naruto threads back in the early 2010s, even after moot enacted the Captcha. Needless to say, they never once represented us, and we've since kicked them all out and had them killed. /a/ as a whole loves SAO and Naruto. That has never not been the case.
