Jesus isn't merely an "enlightened teacher". He is your Heavenly Father, He died for you as payment for your sins, and you need to believe in Him and accept Him as your Lord and Savior to receive the Holy Spirit and (depending on your decisions) eventually gain entry into the Kingdom of Heaven after your corporeal form perishes.
