I wonder how many people even read those kinds of articles and outlets. Do some people wake up, get a coffe and think "ah, time for my daily goyslop that'll tell me what correct opinions to have" and waste time reading those? I have this theory that mainstream outlets nowadays have became essentially "brands" that are valued more for their name than any credibility or outreach they might have had, so they are valued because someone wanting to push a narrative can say whatever they want regardless of whether or not it's based on reality, but with the extra *oomph* of having it attached to a recognizable outlet.
