Genshin's story is so ass that it actually makes me kind of upset, because it's preventing me from enjoying what would otherwise be a perfectly serviceable, even good, open world action RPG. Its so fucking infatuated with its go-nowhere story and paste characters and Paimon constantly chiming in to restate the patently fucking obvious

Sumeru almost completely killed my interest, and when I managed to muscle through that I got to Fontaine and that same godawful fuckass bullshit spins RIGHT back up, I hate it. I hate it so fucking much.

The only thing that would get me back in on Genshin is a cutscene skip button, or an option to just blow past all the backloaded story chapters and drop me in the post-game of the current patch. Ideally both
