A person's class is the biggest indicator of success in any single field, not only transitioning, but everything about class inequality shows itself tenfold in transition. Ugly poor hons cannot afford gender-affirming care, good clothes, skincare, makeup, etc, while rich passoids have access to everything that makes their lives easier. This process then loops in a circle where the poor hons can't get support/help/love/cash/friends because they don't pass, worsening their position, while rich passoids, who often were born in environments of support, only get everything better because of the previous help they got and continue along that path.
