Realistically speaking, what would a success story of a western manga maker, in the year 2025, look like?
Your comic should look like something you could find in Shonen Jump, no tumbler nsfw nonsense.
Genre: battle shonen, shonen romance or sport, isekai is dead.
At least 3-5 good waifus.
So far so good, right?
But now the release schedule. Idealy it should be the standard 16-18 pages per week.
If it less than i chapter per week, i dont think you would gain enough traction.
What about the publishing? Patreon or one of those American online publishing platforms.

When you have to produce 4 chapters per week, it can only work digital. If you have only a screen less tablet, it makes it harder, linework on a screen tablet is 30 to 100% faster.

You would have to grind for months, maybe even years without financial compensation. Without burning out and killing yourself.
And still, the chance of making it is very low.

Its not really a doomer post, making comics is cool and fun (sometimes) but im really not sure if any of us can make money off of it. (which is sad)
