Must be harsh, recession-tier I suppose. Though looking at unemployment, the trajectory doesn't look that bad. Though if the data isn't cooked, which I assume they are to some extent considering the nepotism you're describing. We shall see such a turn in the US as well, considering the very recent events. Let's just pray the head of the central bank doesn't get overturned like in Turkey.
Also I assume any foreign imports are priced completely crazy and are now unaffordable? Like, I dunno, a Switch 2, an Nvidia card (not that they aren't crazy priced in the first place), a recent smartphone, and so on.
I assume the general population can hold up as long as unemployment stays contained and salaries at least are enough to keep eating and having a roof and some other basic shit
But if unemployment was high and you couldn't consume shit, it would end up in a revolution here. Eating and having a roof are not considered sufficient.
