i think this is more plausible than people getting gibbed, but there's no red paint on that part of the bow except below the waterline. so if that's red paint from below the waterline, i wonder what the damage below the waterline looks like, since as far as we know the ship has not sunk

imo I think most likely explanation is a combination of sunlight refracting off the water spray + poor video quality
