That's why I didn't dismiss the very real potential it's potentially also just an objectivity thing about what you did in your life to get to where you end up, but Hazbin presenting a possibility that it's maybe individually dependent (either on TOP of what was already established, or separately depending on if it's a retcon to Helluva) is why it's pretty much up in the air still what approach they're saying is the truth of the matter here.

For my piece on the matter, it'd be better for writing scenes if it was individually dependent exclusively because I doubt Alastor's serial killer past, Husk's gambling addiction and possibly screwing people with his own deals, and basically what the overlords DO in general makes a convincing case for redemption if it follows the logic that they could clean all that up if they just save the lives of people.
