Agreed. They went way bigger and took more risks with this movie in just about every way except giving the Kitty, the main fucking villain a meaty backstory. I get they can't make the movie 2.5+ hours long because of its intended demographic but I would have liked a bit more. Honestly one of my only complaints about the movie as well.

I don't really care about who's family member is who.
It's a kinda boring thing to care about, doesn't really tell us anything about the story.
