I really hate to agree with you at all on this, but it's kind of true... Fully unmanaged BPD is some of the hardest, most intense stuff to deal with. My ex had only gone through a bit of therapy when we started but was going through with it more as we dated, so we were able to address issues as they came up both between us in a healthier way than usual and on her own with her therapist.
