I kind of get it, but it's probably not the same
but posting(as an avatarfag) and interacting with anons on 4chan just has a strange dynamic to it
1 example I can think of is
>post about how I don't like RP cuddling with people
>get approached by an anon ingame asking if I want to cuddle RP
>say "sure" thinking this would be fun and their character is kind of hot
>instead of going along with it they argue with me and say "that's weird, because you actually posted that you don't like doing that"
>immediately lose any interest and just reply "yeah, you're right, nevermind"
maybe that's a bad example, but if an anon knows information about you and basically tells you how your own personality and decisions are supposed to be based on your thread persona, it can give an uneasy feeling
so it's not like it's "being too nice" it's more like the anon is "too familiar with you" and you know literally nothing about them so the connection between you two is thrown off
