Just bought my first house a month ago so I have some DIY questions.

- What's the best way to hang up picture frames and artwork?
- My house is a ranch-style one with a single story. Is there a single best ladder to get? I need to be able to clean the gutters, so I was thinking a basic step ladder, but then in the future I might need access to the roof in general so maybe that's not best. I was looking at those telescoping ladders but saw a lot of worrying reviews for those where people said the locking mechanism failed while they were using the ladder and it made them fall.
- How far away from the house should the gutter downspout release the water?
