Always check the uma's stats, aptitudes and the races that are part of her career before starting. Some uma's careers are perfectly geared to them (Bakushin being the best example) while others can be tricky if you didn't get proper parents. I got Bourbon early on and it catched me off-guard because she starts with three Mile races despite only having B on Mile and at some point you start doing Long races while also having B on Long so I ended up losing a lot. Turns out that her career, just like all the others, is based on the real horse's so that's the reason why some are more challenging than others
