They are literally copying BF3. BF6 is just BF3: 2.0. BF3 was also launched with 3 small, 3 medium, 3 big maps. We've seen only 4 maps from the game.
Small: Empire State, Iberian Offensive, Saints Quarter
Medium: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, Manhattan Bridge
Big: Mirak Valley, New Sobek City,Operation Firestorm

BF3 was also launched with 3 small, 3 big, 3 medium sized maps.
Small: Operation Metro, Grand Bazaar, Seine Crossing
Medium: Damavand Peak, Tehran Highway, Noshahr Canals
