that's not exactly accurate. clearly it was over-priced, by A LOT. but since they were going to scrap it, and likely never do it again, well... it was the only option. so yes I'm glad I splurged, overall
even without being given a specific character to "play as" they gave you options. two of us decided to help the resistance and the other two helped out the first order. there was a whole smuggler thing we kinda dipped into but mostly missed out on. it was designed to make you want to do it a couple of times (if you can believe that!)
it incorporated the theme park area, opening new interactions. for example you had to sneak a code word to your Oga's Cantina waiter, and they would sneak you secret info. so it was "bigger" than just the hotel part
overall it WAS impressive how they could do stuff to accommodate a hundred people and make it still feel like it was each of y'all's adventure.
or you could go and stand around, in a $5000 ship. it would have been a waste of money not to play along with the show. so go and feel like a fool, that's exactly the thing you were paying for
