The days of "picking up and playing the game" when you have time are gone. You're usually either playing it a lot or not at all.
This, in my opinion, has led to a smaller minority of games harboring an overwhelming majority of the industry's active population. If your game doesn't make it BIG now it basiclaly falls into obscurity.
