I wish I knew japanese and was able to read the manga in japanese. I feel like the manga is written for nips and so many hints and puns go completely missing when I read it in english. Even basic shit like last chapter with Gekko and Kozuki just being two letters switched around sounds so fun in Japanese, now this and many other small tid bits that make way more sense in japanese. Its like no wonder japanese theorists call major plot points out years before they are confirmed by Oda, theres hints in the text all the time

This mangas been goong for 30 years, not a single happening that happens in the manga will not make people mad because everyone has build like 50 different headcanons over the years and decades atp. Its why GRRM unironically gave up on ASIOF after he saw the reception of later seasons of GoT and while I agree that they were shit, GRRM know that theres no satisfying his fanbase at this point. Same shit with the Dark Continent and HxH, so many headcanons have been made about the DK that I dont think anything Togashi does will live up to the hype. This is the main problem of long running mangas/shows/book series and such

I reckon WB knew Teach was Rocks son but he didnt care, since he probably could see his personality come out too. As for the rest of the world and the WG I doubt. Mainly because Teach spent almost 40 years being a nobody and didnt even have a bounty before he captured Ace, he never even had a bounty and as far as looks go hes distinctive enough body wise to not just assume and I dont think the WG works on assumptions anyway.
