Since Cher's Believe, most of the stuff that's been topping the pop charts is already incredibly artificially overproduced and autotuned anyway, Charli XCX being a notorious example. With current technological advances, why record some no-talent human slut's vocals, have it altered to the point where it's unrecognizable, and then have her mime the lyrics in a music video at all if the process can be fully automated?
