What's the difference between Matt and Satin? Surprised so many people use an airbrush here. Sadly I don't have one and have no plans on getting one anytime soon.

I assume those AK varnishes will be okay to be used by brush thinned down and in small thin coats? What about metallics? Do I get a gloss varnish for those?
