This is the most delusional fanfiction I've ever read. You're twisting yourself into knots to defend a character who has no substance.
"Amy is adventurous." Where? In what game before the meta-era hacks got their hands on her? In CD she was a damsel. In Adventure she was a civilian who got caught up in the plot while shopping. Her entire motivation in every game is "Where's Sonic?" She doesn't crave adventure, she craves Sonic. The adventure is just the unfortunate obstacle between her and getting him to stop running. Without Sonic to chase, she has no reason to leave her house.
This "mirror" vs "foil" garbage is just semantics. It doesn't matter. Both characters exist for the same reason. To be an anchor for the wind. Both want Sonic to stop being Sonic. One wants him to settle down in a cottage, the other wants him to settle down and lead a rebellion. Same chain, different collar. It's a trash dynamic that misunderstands the character at a fundamental level.
And this?
>I'll always be there for you in the best and worst times.
That's SatAM Sally. She was literally there for him during the worst time of his life, fighting a war. She's a soldier and a natural leader who stands by him in an actual conflict. Amy just shows up to whine and get in the way. She's a liability, not a partner.
You've built a headcanon based on modern retcons and ignored two decades of source material. Stop trying to make Amy into something she never was. She's a one-note stalker jobber.
