The girl who went splat at X Games skateboard contest yesterday has a skull fracture. I wonder if it's finally time for comps to start making helmets mandatory in the street category. Most of the skateboarders do not wear them in street. I mean street skat contests involving doing tricks on handrails down staircases. The potential fall angle from that is really nasty with the wrong kind of luck on the wrong day, which is exactly what happened.
