Is that so? Interesting... Reminds me of Inuyasha. IIRC the humanoid Yokai were the strongest ones, so it and Dragon Quest having something similar, I'd assume monsters becoming stronger when assuming human-like forms has something to do with Japanese myths.

>Goku was more like worried the situation was escalating.
I don't know about that anon. Look at his face, that is not the face someone who's worried would be making.
Sure Gohan is the one who screamed, but Goku was clearly not happy with what Chichi was saying.
>I mean, Gohan is essentially just a stay at home dad
Who doesn't even bother picking up his daughter at school...
>who's studies are financed by his wife since he turned down that job in DBS.
>The classic 'renaissance man', AKA a fucking nerd who's living off his wife or his family's money.
Even so, Goku in ToP does suggest that Gohan's job is doing something to improve the universe's level, and in Super Hero, Gohan does seem to be doing an actual job. Even if he doesn't have a paying job yet, he's studying to get one. Goku on the other hand just doesn't really care about money, and makes little effort to have it or make it unless pushed.
Videl could be like Bulma and not care, or maybe she could try to get him to do something. I guess the most fitting job would be to have him be involved in her martial arts school... Which could mean more ki users out there if Goku were to be allowed to teach about it (Since characters became really secretive about ki since Satan debuted for some reason). Would be funny though, if Goku were to be a simple instructor there, and taught a bunch of students how to use ki by accident, since martial arts with ki is all he knows.
